Taking pictures of food is tricky. Lighting, angle, placement… But the biggest problem? Your food gets cold before you get a chance to eat it!

We are going to see Annie tonight! She was born only 2.5 weeks ago. We’ve seen her a few times already, and were there when she was born, but every time is special. Annie is my “niece”… Bobby’s brother and sister-in-law’s new bundle of joy. Technically, I’m not officially an aunt since Bobby and I aren’t married yet, but by the time she is old enough to remember anything, I’ll be official.

So she is cute and adorable and baby soft. But babies are boring at this age. Sleep, eat, poop. Put her in cute outfits. Sleep, eat, poop, repeat. On the rare occasion she’ll give us a smile, but we think she’s just gassy.

It’ll be exciting to watch her grow up. I can’t wait to babysit and have sleepovers at our place. Take her shopping and teach her all the fun games on the iPad. Have girls nights with her mom, other aunts, and all her girl cousins. It’ll be fun having her at holidays and celebrating all her milestones.

And yes, she makes me want my own. Still a few years from that though.

UPDATE: Poor baby is really fussy tonight. Definitely okay waiting a few more years. LOL

I’ve decided that I am replacing food with coffee. And attempting to keep it to 1 point per cup with the sugar-free creamer and using splenda instead of sugar. It has become my new “treat”. That I drink, like, 3 times a day!

I can’t decide if I can feel the caffeine. I don’t feel the hyperness like when I used to drink pop. But a good side effect – perhaps the caffeine is helping the dieting efforts since it’s acting as an appetite suppressant. Yay!

Got through about a third of my k-cup variety pack. And the chocolate or coconut flavored coffees are my favorite! Now if only I can find the chocolate raspberry coffee at 7-Eleven again so I can relive that very first cup. It’s a limited time coffee flavor, so I feel like my time is running out! Gotta keep checking…

So last year, Bobby and I attempted NaNoWriMo (National  Novel Writing Month). The goal was to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. We got nearly a fifth of the way through and fell behind and gave up. November is a busy month!! This year, we are attempting NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). Our goal is to blog every day for the month of November – which sounds less daunting than making up a fiction novel. So this is my first post!
